The Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship
unites three extremely important and interrelated segments:
economy, labour and entrepreneurship. It conducts active policy
measures for employment, administrative and other work concerning
industry, shipbuilding and energy, promotes entrepreneurship,
carries out administrative and professional activities related
to the promotion and development of trade and trade policies
and economic cooperation with foreign countries;
The main issues which this Ministry is addressing are the promotion
of local production and exports, investment promotion, labour
market measures and increasing employment and creating a favorable
business environment for the development of entrepreneurship.
Among its other tasks, the Ministry is the central government
institution in charge of creating and implementing national
policy in the field of SME's. Through the programmes and supporting
measures, the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship,
in co-operation with other partner institutions, is promoting
the internalisation initiatives of Croatian enterprises.
