Elma Kurtalj Ltd. is an engineering company combining their engineering capabilities with excellent logistical support in the delivery of equipment and services including our own products in the areas of business ICT infrastructure and Building automation and management systems (BA&MS) based on open protocols (Lonworks, Modbus, Bacnet). In addition, we deliver complete electrical and intelligent building infrastructure from basic design to total deployment, fully based on open protocol system paradigm.

As experts we are able to identify infrastructure needs and position ourselves to investors with clear "Return-On-Investment" arguments.

Since its establishment in 1991, the company has been determined to deliver top quality equipment and solutions in all aspects of its operation, which is confirmed by being awarded the ISO 90001: 2000 standard. The company operates from locations in Zagreb, and currently employs 70 people.

The company operates through a divisional structure as follows:

Division: BrightCore - This is the result of our eleven years software manufacturing Department, which currently employs skilful software and hardware developers, skilful in Java, C++, as well VB and php environment. The centre of departmental activity is the BrightCore integrated building and campus middleware. All our products are based on frameworks over which we have 100% source code control. All tools we use among our own frameworks are purchased as development tools with source code. That gives us the possibility to be able to provide to our customers excellent servicing. BrightCore is supporting relevant recognised groups of standards as EN 507498, EN 50090, EN 13541, ISO/IS 9545, EN 14908 and ISO 16484-5. This intelligent building solutions framework follows the idea to facilitate seamless connection of hundreds of buildings to one management and support infrastructure. Some of our flagship product are a Lonworks IP oriented device supported by our Lontalk framework. This product seamlessly integrates PC-like devices into local control networka as one of the piers. We are members of several eminent international associations such as Lonmark and Central Building Automation Association. We are active participants at conferences where subject areas cover energy as well automation issues. Through this we have good overview of needs as a base for the development of products and infrastructure.

Division: Intelligent Building Associates - Our building and process automation department is a combination of competence from all other divisions and certainly this department combines total knowledge of the company and its possibilities. This division follows the logic of todays ICT paradigm focused on modern buildings, following standardisation through all 7 OSI layers. The level of employee skill is very high; all regularly participate in on-going development seminars locally and internationally. In the focus of this division are distributed control systems, the measurement of energy consumption and energy efficiency solutions, in addition to integrated solutions and system protection facilities such as video surveillance, access control, etc. Within our activity framework we are facilitating intelligent building solutions. This division is fully capable of carrying out the commissioning of building from idea to solution, as well to facilitate the connection of hundreds of building to one management and support centre. Categories experienced are lighting, security, access, air conditioning, ventilation, heating, CCTV, jalousie, communications, energy, generators, UPS's. Our solutions have been built for the following eminent companies: Pliva (Data centre) - Teva, Merkator-H (CCTV), some hospitals (boiler room automation), T-COM (Croatia) (interconnected buildings and data centres), Mercur International (three stores interconnected building automation), Muline Casino / Hotel - Building automation, Office Building Beton Lucko (total intelligent building solution based on Lonworks), MSU - museum 30,000m2 (automation systems for heating, cooling and ventilation), Intelligent Arentz villas - Opatija, intelligent homes solution. Currently, all solutions are deployed in Croatia.

Division: Energy Constancy Associates - This division has been involved in consulting in the area of energy analysis for the last five years and last year supplied about 200 audits of energy situation in different buildings (schools, government administration buildings, hotels, restaurants, shops, petrol pumps, industrial buildings). We have all the necessary equipment for the successful implementation of audits (thermo camera, infrared thermometer, lux meter, and other needed equipment.)

Division: ICT Associates - This division actively works in the area of passive and active network infrastructure and wireless network solutions. The entire staff of the Division each year pass the education for harmonisation License covering the current state of technology. All employees have an internationally recognised certification in the areas of their work. In terms of business achievements we are of the few companies in Croatia boasting of having over 60,000 installed CAT 6 links. As a telecom infrastructure company we are authorised Nexans partner, as well other reputable manufacturers. As experts in the field of passive network infrastructure, FTTH infrastructure and wireless network Experts Company often work as consultants to designers, especially in terms of the most favourable relationship between quality and price of investment with a clear model of cost recovery. Our key projects have been delivered to telecom operators.

Division: Special products - This division as core context of manufacturing of devices for lighting controlling, control cabinets, manufactured optical connector cables and special cables as co-axial jumper cables and small electrical supplies.

Division: General Distribution Logistics - This division is concerned with the procurement, storage and delivery of equipment for our own projects as well as for third-party buyers using "supply chain" approach.
