Elma Kurtalj Ltd. is an engineering and development company with developed logistics for the delivery of equipment and services including our own products in the areas of business IT infrastructure and buildings management systems (BMS) based on open protocols (Lonworks, Modbus, Bacnet). In addition, we are delivering complete electrical and intelligent building installations based on an open system paradigm. We are covering entire buildings - from basic electrical installation to management infrastructure including TBMS (TOTAL BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM).
Since its establishment in 1991, the company has expressed its determination to employ top quality equipment in all aspects of its operations, which is confirmed through the ISO 90001: 2000 award, and solutions based on open protocol structures. The company operates from its location in Vitezićevoj Street, and currently employs 60 people, of which eleven are electrical engineers and eight full time software developers. The company operates through a division structural model: energy consulting, building automation and process automation, (HVAC, energy, lighting, CCTV, switchgear automation, access control), informatics and communications, manufacturing equipment and software.

Division Energy - this function has been involved in consulting in the area of energy analysis for the last five years and had through last year about 120 audits of energy situations in various buildings (schools, government administration buildings, hotels, restaurants, shops, petrol pumps and industrial buildings). We have all the necessary equipment for the successful implementation of audits (thermo-cameras, infrared thermometers, lux meter, and other required equipment).

Division Building and process automation - is the combination of competence of all other divisions in combination with a total knowledge of the company. This division follows the logic of today's IT paradigm, focused on modern buildings, following standardisation through all 7 OSI layers. The level of employee quality is very high; all are regularly participating in development seminars locally and internationally. The focus of this division is on distributed control systems, measurement of energy consumption and energy efficiency solutions, in addition to integrated solutions and system protection facilities such as video surveillance, access control, etc. Within this division is the R&D Department, which currently employs eight developers, of which four are software engineers, and four high-quality programmers professional in Java, and C++ environments. The focus of divisional activity is energy performance integrated building and campus solutions based at TBMS paradigm. Our model of action rests on the basis of "full knowledge". The company is not using any application software segment which we are not able to fully support internally. Or TBMS system is based on our own development but supporting recognised standards such as EN 507498, EN 50090, EN 13541, ISO/IS 9545, EN 14908, ISO 16484-5, group of standards. We are covering all interfaces through our own developed framework. Furthermore we are supporting Ip CCTV infrastructure through RTP/RTSP and MPEG4 paradigm, as well as our own Lonworks IP device which seamlessly integrates PC's into a local control network as one of its peers. Within our framework of intelligent building solutions we are fully capable of carrying out the commissioning of buildings from idea to solution, as well as to facilitate the connection of hundreds of building to one management and support centre.

We are experienced in the following areas: lighting, security, access, air conditioning, ventilation, heating, CCTV, jalousie, communications, energy, generators, UPS's.

We are members of several eminent international associations as Lonmark, Central Building Automation Association, and we are active participants in the conference subject area which gives us a good overview of where the needs are in the development of infrastructure.
Our solutions have been implemented with the following eminent companies: Pliva (Data centre), Merkator-H (CCTV), some hospitals (boiler room automation), T-COM (Croatia) (interconnected buildings and data centres), Mercur International (three stores interconnected building automation), Muline Casino / Hotel - building automation, Office Building Beton Lucko (total intelligent building solution based on Lonworks), MSU - museum 30,000m2 (automation systems for heating, cooling and ventilation), Intelligent Arentz-flats villas - Opatija, regulation of heating and cooling in private homes.

Division Informatics and Communications - is active in the passive network infrastructure and wireless network solutions. The entire staff of the Division each year passes the training for harmonisation license with current state of technology. All employees have an internationally recognised certification in the area of their work. In terms of business achievements, we are one of the few companies in Croatia that can boast having over 30,000 installed CAT 6 links. In terms of cable infrastructure, the company is an authorised partner with Nexans, Knuer, and other reputable manufacturers. As experts in the field of passive network infrastructure and wireless network experts companies often work as consultants to designers, especially when searching the most favourable relationship between quality and cost of investment with a clear model of cost recovery.

Division Production - of equipment and materials, this unit is manufacturing devices for lighting controlling, control cabinets, manufactured optical connector cables and special cables coaxial jumper cables and small electrical supplies.

Division Distribution and logistics - are concerned with the procurement, storage and delivery of equipment for their own projects and for third-buyers using a "supply chain" approach.
